Intro

Thesis:
Truman's decision to drop atomic bombs on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki was fully justified because without it, thousands of American lives would have been lost in a future invasion of Japan.

Abstract:
In August of 1945, the United States of America dropped two atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.  After a total of six years of fighting, Japanese airforce surprise bombed Pearl Harbor.  Japans surprise attack resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and sent multiple battleships to the bottom of the ocean.  This attack on the US officially brought America into World War II.  As we fought over island after island, winning battles and losing American lives, it all came down to one decision.  The US was required to use their secreat weapon, The Atomic Bomb.  Truman made the official decision to drop the bomb; however, Japan was warned.  The United States then sent out a warning to Japan asking them to surrender so we wouldnt need to use nuclear warfare.  After presisting to deny our request for a peaceful surrender, the US dropped the A Bomb on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki abruptly ending the war with a Japaneese surrender.
